The Mayor of Swindon, Councillor Garry Perkins, was guest of honour at Dressability this morning.
His visit was to gain a better understanding and highlight the issues faced by small local Swindon charities in funding and reaching the right audience to help and be helped. During Covid, Dressability’s clients were unable to use the clothes adaptation services but now, we are hoping to see many of them returning and hopefully reach new clients too.
Sharon Tombs, Dressability Manager and Outreach worker showed Councillor Perkins some of the adaptations her team have created to help those with disabilities and limited dexterity.
In honour of the Mayor of Swindon visiting Dressability, Dressability’s very own Angela very kindly baked some beautiful cakes fit for the occasion, topped with iced buttons. What a talented team they are!
