Did you catch the One Show talking about Dressability?

Dressability was mentioned on The One Show during a special feature about Tia, a young wheelchair user searching the high street for the perfect outfit for her upcoming birthday party.

We hope Tia’s appearance on The One Show will help more people with disabilities understand the work achieved here at Dressability and the positive difference we can have on the lives of people living with disability.

If you missed it live on BBC One last Friday, you can watch it on catch up through BBC iPlayer here.

Dressability to be featured on BBC’s The One Show this Friday, February 18th

The film follows the journey of a young wheelchair user, Tia, as she searches the high street to find the perfect outfit for her upcoming special birthday party.

During Tia’s film she will be looking at the challenges that she faces when searching for clothing that is fashionable yet is also practical to wear, taking into account her needs as a wheelchair user.

Tia is also one of the winners of the BBC’s Young Reporter competition and this film has given her the opportunity to learn media and reporting skills on a popular BBC series.

We hope Tia’s appearance on The One Show will help more people with disabilities understand our service and the difference our specialised adaptations can make to people living with disability.

We understand the video will be shown on The One Show (BBC One) on Friday 18th Feb (subject to schedule changes) at 7:00pm so do tune in and show any support you can!

This one simple adaptation helps with ease of dressing, and outwardly looks totally unchanged

A recent customer adaptation, and one of our most requested – adding velcro to a button up shirt. This simple adaptation helps with ease of dressing, and outwardly looks totally unchanged.

As research shows, the clothes we wear can have a huge impact on how we feel about ourselves and here at Dressability we aim to offer our clients the freedom to choose clothes and adaptations that bring out the best in them.
