Dressability’s tailor-made pink suit for Leo featured on BBC News and in video message from Ed Sheeran
The tailor-made pink suit we created for 15-year-old Leo, an Ed Sheeran superfan, has made it onto BBC News. Leo, who has Down’s Syndrome, even received a shout-out from Sheeran himself in a special video.
In the video message, Ed Sheeran said to Leo “thank you for being a fan”. He’s watched the video six times already and “couldn’t actually believe it that he was finally going to get” the pink suit.
Leo was “shaking with excitement” when he received the suit, an exact replica of the suit worn by Ed Sheeran during the music video for his smash hit ‘Bad Habits’.
Dressability was approached by Leo’s mum, Clair, who wanted to track down the suit for Leo’s 15th birthday. She had found alternatives that were very expensive and so contacted Dressability instead, where seamstresses Edie Fox and Anne Tuffin fit Leo for the suit.
“It’s rewarding getting the pictures back when you see them wearing the outfits,” said Edie, while Anne added “it’s a real joy seeing their faces when they have something that they dreamed of.”
We are delighted to see Ed Sheeran and the BBC help shine a spotlight on the work achieved here at Dressability. We rely on volunteers such as Edie and Anne to help change children with disabilities’ lives for the better.
Dressability’s aid for Ghana project featured on BBC Radio Wiltshire
We’re very pleased to share that Dressability has been featured on BBC Radio Wilshire live during the Ben Prater show.
The special segment focused on the work we have done done here at Dressability to help make a difference for the University of Ghana and the planet. Together with Action Through Enterprise we have strived to provide reusable sanitary wear for those most in need, giving many women their dignity and the means to manage a basic need.

Wiltshire charity Dressability make ‘Perfect’ Ed Sheeran-inspired birthday gift for teenager with Down’s syndrome
When Leo Hill from Swindon turned 15 in April, there was no doubt what he wanted for his birthday.
A huge Ed Sheeran fan, Leo had always loved singing and dancing along to his music.
When he saw the video to Sheeran’s smash-hit single ‘Bad Habits’, Leo immediately fell in love with the hot pink suit worn by the man himself.
So Leo’s Mum Clair sent a message to Dressability, a Swindon-based charity which makes and alters clothes for disabled people. Clair asked if they could create an identical suit that would allow Leo to feel like the superstar musician.
Dressability manager Sharon Tombs and her team immediately set about the challenge and created a made-to-measure replica of the suit that would fit Leo perfectly.
