At Dressability we are always on the look-out for fabric, haberdashery and unused zips and buttons .  If you or someone you know have anything they wish donate we would love to hear from you.  Anything our dressmakers cant use will be taken to our next de-stash sale on February 10^th to raise funds for our work.

Dressability are very adept at producing beautiful, colourful drain bags to patients needing a drain post op. The bespoke drain bag holders they create provide a safe, secure and discrete place to store drains, allowing individuals to have peace of mind to leave the house and carry out day to day activities.

Sian (as pictured) was delighted to drop the bags off at Great Western Hospital Breast Clinic. They were received by happy staff members who were thrilled by their efforts. Dressability work on many projects within the community and can only do so by raising funds and receiving generous donations which enables them to help those who need their services.

We will be closing at 3pm on Wednesday 20th December and re-opening at 9am on Thursday 4th Jan 2024.

For the past few months some of our volunteers have been making drain bags for our local breast care unit at GWH.  These have all been hand made in colourful designs to carry drain bottles following surgery.  We are so proud to continue to provide these to GW Hospital which we hope makes a little difference for individuals receiving treatment. 

In our 25^th Year Anniversary, we set out to expand our client base and have certainly achieved it.

Antony is our 100^th new client since April this year.  At 99 years of age, Antony lives alone and saw our advert posted in The Handy Mag, a local monthly publication, targeting East Swindon. 

Antony told us he needed his trousers taking up but wanted to support Dressability, so rather than taking them to a high street shop, he chose to use the services of Dressability.

Dressability were delighted to attend ’Carers Rights Day’ this month, to introduce the services on offer, held at Swindon Town Football Club.

Carers Rights Day is a national day, which exists to help carers understand their rights, so that they can access all avenues of support available.
